Getting Started

ULiège Library is accessible to students, researchers, teachers or other members of ULiège and CHU staff.

Any external visitor can also access our services by registering in one of our facilities.

Comfortable spaces

You have access to our 15 discipline-specific locations, which are spread across the different university campuses, welcome you throughout the year. Some are open in the evening or on Saturdays.

In addition to the discipline-specific facilities, you have access to the reading room, the heritage-consultation room and, by appointment, the manuscript room on the 20-Août site.

Resources

High-quality collections to consult, borrow and download: rich documentation with more than two million books, thousands of periodicals, hundreds of thousands of electronic resources (including readings recommended by your teachers), as well as 100,000 theses and dissertations, 50,000 maps and thousands of old publications from our heritage collections.

Most of our electronic resources are accessible 24/7, from anywhere in the world by installing the Pulse Secure VPN app!

Services

We have a number of services in place to help you access documentation.

• Documents that are stored in the stocks can be ordered online and are generally available within 24 hours.
• You can return your documents to the location from which you borrowed them, or at almost any of the ULiège Library locations.
• Is a publication available at a far-away location? You can have it delivered to a local one (free on-demand service).
• Is a document housed in other libraries in Belgium or abroad? Request it via inter-library loan.
• Is a publication you need not available anywhere? You can suggest that we buy it!
• Do you need to access a document from our printed collections at home? Request partial digitisation!
